2 cups Tang 1 cup instant tea 1/2 t cinnamon 1/4 - 1/2 t cloves 1 t dried lemon peel (I never have this, but it sound like a lovely thing to add.) sprinkle of nutmeg Mix all ingredients together in some sort of container with a lid...Christmasy tin, mason jar, etc.. 1 - 1 1/2 t per cup (I actually prefer closer to a tablespoon in a mug...maybe because my mugs hold more than 8oz water? I don't know. I suppose it's a matter of taste.) Sweeten with sugar, Splenda, honey, etc...by the cup. Note: My current "batch" was made with diet instant tea, so it's technically pre-sweetened, and I don't usually feel the need to add sugar or another sweetener. Again, all a matter of taste. Enjoy! I seriously can't believe I am the only one who associates this recipe with mom and my childhood and who has the recipe. You guys make your yeast rolls from scratch...I'll make the Russian Tea. HA HA HA! :) |
